Interview of the Secretariat of Fondo de Ahorro de Panama

The Secretariat of the Fondo de Ahorro de Panama ("FAP" or "Fund"), Abdiel A. Santiago M., was interviewed by Alma Solís of the online news site “Sistema de Noticias Internacional de Panama” (www.noticiasdepanama.com).
Abdiel discusses the main themes that influenced the Fund's positive performance. Among them he mentioned: 1) the expectation of the tax reform in the US; 2) the reduction of quantitative easing from Central Banks; 3) the positive expectations of the global economies; and 4) the reduction in the number of shares listed in public financial markets
In addition, he shared his perspectives for the market in 2018.

About Fondo de Ahorro de Panama
The Fund was created by Law 38 of June 5, 2012, whose main objectives are:
Establish a long-term savings mechanism for the Panamanian State; and
Establish a stabilization mechanism in case of a state of emergency (declared by the Cabinet’s Council) and economic slowdowns.
